Optimized School Search by Zip Code

The problems with slow zip code searching has now been resolved due to the recent server and development upgrades. The new zip code search is significantly faster than the previous searches. Please note that these recent upgrades currently only affect our primary search form. If you are using the "Quick Search" pages to find a school by zip code then you may still experience a slow-down. Our developers are currently working on optimizing the "Quick Searches" as well.

Optimized School Zip Search

Over the weekend our technical staff performed server upgrades that will allow for much faster zip code searching in the near future. Due to the popularity of our site and the traffic that we have been seeing, our zip code search performance has degraded considerably over the last several months. These new upgrades will dramatically increase the performance of our search features. Please note that while the server upgrades have taken place, there is still some development necessary before the optimized searching will be noticeable. We expect to release the new school search by the end of this week. Until then, we apologize for the slow-down in the searching and appreciate your patience as this is fixed.

Let the Schools Come to You!

As part of DegreeMe's new Search Service a service form has been added to the school search on the main website. If no schools match the criteria that is entered, then a form will be displayed that gives the student the option of submitting their information to let a DegreeMe Student Representative do the search for them. This saves the student time as well as allows a representative familiar with the DegreeMe schools to do the search for them. The hope is that this will provide the student with more relevant schools to choose from.

Find Accredited Degrees, Accredited Schools, Accredited Colleges

Now it is easier than ever to find an accredited school, college, or university! DegreeMe has just released our newest web portal that allows students to simply sumbit their information so that a DegreeMe student account representative can perform the school search for them. It doesn't get much easier than this! After filling out a brief questionnaire the student simply waits for 1-2 business days while their personal account representative searches from all of the DegreeMe schools, colleges, online degrees, and more. Once the search is complete, the student is then sent a complete list of all of the schools or degree programs that match what that person was looking for. It truly is the easiest method for finding the right degree. So take a look at the new DegreeMe Search Service!

Narrowing down the Program and Degree Search

DegreeMe currently offers hundreds of different degree, diploma, or training programs through our easy-to-use school search site. We also offer a more customary school search and degree search through our .org site.

While having a wide array of degrees to choose from is a good thing, it also can become overwhelming to our users. It is hard to know which programs to search for and which ones would best suite the individual's needs. In an effort to constantly improve our offerings, the DegreeMe creative team is currently working on a new and improved method for narrowing down your degree or diploma of choice. While the same great programs will still be available, this new searching methodology will help to narrow the results in a more understandable way.

This new search feature is scheduled for release by the end of February. Please be sure to check back at that time to see the site's improvements. If the improved searching is released prior to that date then a news article will be released informing the public of the change.

Planned Upgrades for School Search and Degree Search

In an effort to improve the performance of our School Search and Degree Search we will be performing major server upgrades and enhancements over the next several weeks. Although our technical team will be taking all measures to avoid any downtime, you may notice a slight decrease in performance while our primary servers are being upgraded. Once the upgrade is complete, you will notice a significant increase in the performance of our search features particularly with the keyword search and the zip code search features.
